Message to a Survivor
I hope you put yourself first. I hope you love yourself first. I hope you look at yourself and say I’m good enough. I hope you have the best support system to help you because you can’t do this on your own. You are not alone. You are somebody that’s worth loving.
Message of Healing
Healing to me would to wake up and not feel so angry at the world for what happened to me. To not feel like I have to carry this pain, I want to let go and make space for me & the truth of the beauty I carry in my heart.
Growing up since a young age I’ve always saw “love” from different views. When I got to high school I met a guy, I was 16 years old when he started to abuse me, I loved him & I thought it was okay.. no one at school believed me either. Everyone was his friend & no matter what I said it didn’t matter. No one understands that it stays with you, & trust me it hurts I didn’t think it would hurt still but you carry it. The pain was real, the scars are real, & I carry them. I was so young & scared, you want to know how many times someone asked me well why did you stay? Why didn’t you leave? I don’t know. I will never know, all I know is that I didn’t deserve to carry this hurt.
